Value Proposition Design

What’s your value proposition? It sounds like an easy question and you might have an answer right away.

But answers to this questions usually result in a wide variety of answers.

Your value proposition is the fundamental premise for your business. Your value proposition is essentially what you’ll deliver to customers and the problem it will solve for them.

On a higher level, your value proposition is widely defined as: “a promise of value to be delivered, communicated, and acknowledged. It is also a belief from the customer about how value (benefit) will be delivered, experienced and acquired.”

From our perspective of improving customer experience, we use the value proposition designer to understand what the customer wants, needs, expects – as well as identifying positive ways to surprise them.

Everyone in your business has an understanding of your value proposition on some level. If you’re a new business, it can be an invaluable way to position your company and ensure everyone is on the same page.

If you’re an established business who hasn’t really considered it before, it can be a great way to get feedback from customers and staff and identify new ways to improve your business.
